Gather your imagination, Northfork memories, and join Johnny Crawford as Mark McCain back in The Nations for a 1934 visit to his first home and his young mother's final resting place.
Events of the day will include:
10 a.m. ~ "The Oklahoma Requiem Waltz" A simple tribute to the memory of Margaret McCain's long lost grave in Oklahoma set in the year 1934.
High noon ~ Old West shoot-out re-enacted by Rollins Creek Gunfighters
1 p.m. ~ A Roping Fool Contest: Try your skill at ranch work and aim to be one of Pa's top hands!
2 p.m. ~ Costume Contest: Categories: Rifleman Character/ Authentic Old West/ B-Western/ 1930's Time Traveler (judges criteria will be listed soon)
3 p.m. ~ Rifleman Trivia Contest: Think you've learned all your Northfork lessons? Every lesson you learn makes you a better partner. Come "remember back" and test your knowledge of this enduring series.

*Reception of Home Ranch Art: presentation of paintings and photographs of "The Rifleman" valley today.

*Checker Tournament: It's the Northfork game to take your mind off your troubles!
A Very Special Evening Concert will be presented at 5 p.m. in the Paradise Saloon. Johnny Crawford sings songs of Mark McCain's day. Tickets are $30 per person.
Portions of the proceeds will be put to efforts to preserve the original Rifleman valley in Los Angeles, California
and aid the Inner City Slickers programs for youth at Rollins Creek Old West Town, Guthrie, Oklahoma

On the one hand, he is an award-winning, best-selling science fiction and mystery novelist, with over three million published words in print. He has won, or been nominated for Cable Ace, Endeavor, Nebula, Hugo, and Image awards. His “A Stitch In Time” episode of The Outer Limits won an Emmy.
***On the other hand, he has also studied and created a unique body of personal improvement technologies. With a background as a yoga instructor, fourth degree black belt, Eriksonian hypnotist and Circular Strength Training instructor, apprenticed to the Sweet Medicine Sundance path and a devotee of guru Sri Chinmoy, Steven has developed somatic-based techniques of spiritual evolution, applied Joseph Campbell’s “Hero’s Journey” pattern to personal evolution (“LifeWriting”), lectured on creativity and human myth at the Smithsonian Institute, UCLA, Seattle University, Mensa, and Pasadena JPL.
***His specialty is a combination of stress/anger/fear management, teaching clients and students to “un-knot” their fight or flight response to access their full human energy. His “Mastering F.E.A.R.” program has successful dealt with writer’s block, phobias, anxiety, anger problems, persistent guilt and trauma from sexual abuse.
